Description

Quinta de Vale Mourisco, produced 100% from the Syrah grape variety, presents a garnet color with aromas of red fruits harmonized with notes of vanilla. On the palate, it is full-bodied, revealing well-integrated wood notes that make it smooth and persistent.

The vineyard has always been cultivated in Quinta de Vale Mourisco, and wine has been produced in its cellar. The old vineyards have been restructured and their secular wine cellar has been rehabilitated and modernized. The farm has four hectares of vineyards of the red varieties: Touriga Nacional, Syrah, Alicante Bouchet and Tinta Roriz and one hectare of white vineyards: Fernão Pires, Chardonnay and Viognier. A further 35 hectares of vineyards of red and white grape varieties were installed in 2016/2017. Quinta de Vale Mourisco has excellent conditions for the production of quality grapes, which are only harvested for winemaking when its maturation index advises it. The grapes are harvested by hand and immediately transported to the cellar.
