Old Putney 12 years old is matured entirely in malt whisky barrels. Deep amber in colour with golden red hues, it has an intense and complex aroma and a medium-bodied palate. The finish is dry and smooth, with notes of salt and sherry.
On the most northerly shores of Scotland, where the North Sea meets the Caithness coast, there is a town, Wick, home to a whisky which captures the very essence of its location, the famouse Old Pulteney, known as the maritime malt.
