Description

The Granite vineyards are located on shallow soils of magmatic origin, at altitudes between 800 and 900 meters. Compared to Pizarra wines, Granite wines are more approachable, and fruity, with delicate and silky structure.

The red wine Pegaso Granite Old Vines is produced from the Garnacha grape variety (also known as Grenache in France), from organically grown vineyards. After natural fermentation, the wine ages 18 to 24 months in French oak barrels.

Cebreros is a crossing point between the north and south, where the Imperial Way and the Cañada Real intersect. In the past, it was a centre for glass production and in the 19th century, viticulture became essential. In 1999, Telmo Rodríguez recovered the Garnacha (also known as Grenache) vineyards on the slopes of Arrebatacapas, the most important slate landscape in all of Gredos, producing Pegaso Barrancos de Pizarra. Today, Cebreros is an international category, where our Barrancos de Pizarra and Granito wines express the singularity of this extreme place.
