The wine company Justino Henriques e Filhos, was founded in 1870 and is one of the largest wine producers in Madeira. In 1981 Sigfredo da Costa Campos bought the company from Companhia Vinicola da Madeira, later buying the shares of the company as well. Today the company is owned by La Martiniquaise, a French company with great influence in exports to the French market.
