2006 Sparkling Wine Vértice Pinot Noir

Elaborated strictly according to the classic method, it naturally generates a very fine and persistent bubble, releasing a fresh and delicate aroma. On the palate it reveals light and complex fruity flavours and pleasant acidity, persisting in the aftertaste. It was born on the highest slopes of the Douro, above those that make Port wine famous, from a rigorous blend of traditional grape varieties that Caves Transmontanas has carefully selected and only harvested after specific quality control and on a specific schedule (by grape variety), and was created according to the tradition of natural sparkling wines, as still arises from an unusual and creative collaboration of winemakers.

Caves Transmontanas are based their notoriety and particularity on the fact that they produce, exclusively, Premium category sparkling wines. The company started its activity in the 1980s, with an ambitious project to produce top-quality sparkling wines in the Douro region, produced by the Classic Method, and later also invested in the production of still wines.

Located in Alijó, it benefits from the Mediterranean micro-climate of the Cima Corgo sub-region, producing not only sparkling wines with the right freshness and aromatic profile but also dense and complex wines.
