2007 Duas Quintas Reserva Especial red
概要
Wine produced in the Douro region, from blended varieties from old vines. 2007 was a special year in the Douro, characterized by a cool summer, which will favour the balance and synthesis of aromas and phenolic compounds, and a warm harvest in Cima Corgo that allowed to achieve the necessary maturation and the optimal sanitary state of the grapes. It is aged for 20 months in two and three wine French oak casks.
It presents a very concentrated colour, still showing violet hues given the youth of the wine. The aroma is very mineral, with notes of ink and gunpowder. After swirling, aromas of ripe, concentrated fruit, raspberry, blackberry, and fig appear. In the mouth, the wine shows great potential, an enormous structure, and good balance, which will allow long ageing, during which the wine will develop a great aromatic complexity, accompanied by elegance and persistence in the mouth.
