After bottling, this Poeira was stored for a decade in ideal conditions and with the utmost care. This bottle ageing, in the right environment, resulted in a wine of great character.

After making seven vintages as a winemaker at Real Companhia Velha, Jorge Moreira felt the need to start an individual project where he could apply his ideas and where he could control the entire production process. Without concessions, a wine that would reflect his interpretation of the Douro. In 2001, he started the Poeira project situated in Provesende, along a hillside in the Pinhão valley, on the right bank of the river of the same name.
