This Garrafeira red wine is produced from the grape varieties Tinta Roriz and Jaen, from soils of granite nature, which after ageing for 12 months in French and American oak barrels, and 7 years in the bottle, presents a deep garnet ruby colour, with aromas of wild fruit, light vegetal and balsamic notes enriched with caramel, coffee and tobacco. In the mouth the tannins are marked but polished, accompanied by lively and elegant acidity.

The Adega do Fundão is founded in 1949 by the hands of 30 winegrowers from the Beira Interior region and is located in Cova da Beira, a vine-growing area dating back to the 2nd century and the Roman settlements of that time.

The vineyards are planted along the Serra da Gardunha, which allows the production of grapes that give the wines a richness, freshness and exuberance without equal.
