2011 Château Cheval Blanc Le Petit Cheval Saint-Émilion red
概要
Located in Saint-Émilion, in the Bordeaux sub-region of western France, Château Cheval Blanc, as a Premier Grand Cru Classé, is without doubt an exceptional property. Its story begins in 1832 with Ducasso, the Libourne town court judge, buying a property near the town, acquiring 15 hectares of vineyards from Château Figeac. Among the most acclaimed wines from Saint-Émilion in the world, the mythical Château Cheval Blanc has assumed enormous importance over the years. In Saint-Émilion, next to Pomerol, the estate has 39 hectares divided into 45 plots in which each one is treated as a separate vineyard, due to the different ages of the vines, grape varieties, soil types, etc. The combination of these factors contribute to the complexity of Cheval Blanc's terroir.
The 2011 Le Petit Cheval reveals savoury nuances, with blackcurrant and black cherry, spice box and mineral notes. Round, generous and medium-bodied, this wine is ideal for drinking over the next decade or more.
