Established in Bordeaux since 1840, Dourthe quickly became recognised as a reliable and innovative Bordeaux wine producer, and its pioneering spirit can be witnessed at every stage of this company's history.

In 1987, the first wine projects that pushed the boundaries of Bordeaux classics emerged, such as Dourthe No.1, which enjoyed immediate success and made its mark as a true innovation, providing the gold standard in Bordeaux white and dry wine. This was the starting point for Dourthe's growing involvement in the wine sector.

La Garde typically represents exceptional value combined with reasonably good quality. The 2011 reveals a nose of plums, black cherries, kirsch, spices, smoke and earth. Medium-bodied with velvety tannins, it finishes soft but imperative.
