概要
As the name suggests, the intention was to make a wine where the quality of the grapes from a very old vineyard, around 100 years old, and the excellence of the terroir of Freixo de Numão - one of the best in the Douro for table wines - thanks to its high altitude, would be enhanced. It presents a medium ruby colour and good depth. Its aroma is rich, somewhat discreet at first, with notes of wild berries, reminiscent of blueberries, dry herbs, wet earth, and vanilla from the oak. In the mouth it is balanced and elegant, combining the richness of tannins and some minerality with a high acidity and alcohol content. The finish is triumphant, leaving good memories.
