Vintage 2012 is the expression of a prodigious vintage, despite extremely challenging weather throughout the year. Introduced in 2019, Vintage Brut 2012 is the 66th Veuve Clicquot vintage champagne release.
Founded in 1772 by Philippe Clicquot-Muiron, Veuve Clicquot played an important role in the development and foundation of champagne as the drink of choice for the nobility and wealthy European bourgeoisie. Located in Reims, it now has one of the most extensive and beautiful vineyards in Champagne, covering some 390 hectares, divided between 12 of the 17 Grands Crus and 20 of the 44 Premiers Crus that make up the entire Champagne region.
This exceptional heritage has been built up over the centuries, based on the plots initially established by the founder, and added to by subsequent vineyard directors.
In particular, Veuve Clicquot bears the fortuitous territorial brand of Madame Clicquot and has been part of the Louis Vuitton Moët Hennessy group since 1987, whose focus is the marketing of luxury goods.
