Quinta de Chocapalha, is located in Alenquer, in the Lisbon region. Although we know him as very young producer in terms of bottled wine, the records of this farm date back to the XVI century – King’s João VI reign. With the purchase of this house by Tavares da Silva family in the 80s its destination changed. The family quickly invested in the vineyard and in vinification wines conditions. High quality wines and good reputation was there main goal. Sandra Tavares da Silva, renowned producer in the Douro, Tavares da Silva couple’s daughter, took reins of house’s enology and soon understand that those vineyard will give one of the best and most important wines of Lisbon region. Their 45 ha vineyard, produces both white and red wine. From domestic varieties such as Touriga Nacional, Tinta Roriz or Arinto, and international, such as Cabernet Sauvignon. Their wines are indeed among the best in the region and are a delight to the table.
