2016 Conde D'ervideira Vinho da Água red
概要
This red wine is part of Ervideira's top range, which, after ageing for 8 months in barrels, undergoes a further ageing within the waters that bathe the Alqueva reservoir. The initiative of this Alentejo producer was to recover the so-called "vinho da água" process, with a story inspired in the quality of the wines rescued from shipwrecks, after being lost in the depths of the oceans. Inspired by these forgotten stories, Ervideira submerged more than 30,000 bottles in the Alqueva to create the so-called "Water Wine".
Ervideira is a producer of quality wines of excellence in the Alentejo region of Portugal. Its past and family tradition in wine production dates back to the late 19th century, and with 160 hectares of vineyards divided between Vidigueira and Reguengos de Monsaraz, Ervideira is run by the family matriarch, Dona Maria Isabel Leal da Costa, and her six children, with Duarte Leal da Costa as CEO.
