2017 Castello D'Alba Reserva red

Produced from the Tinta Roriz, Touriga Franca, and Touriga Nacional grape varieties. Intense aroma of great complexity, aromas of berries and rock-rose from Touriga Franca, spices and red fruits from Tinta Roriz, and very fresh and elegant floral notes of violets from Touriga Nacional. Aging for 12 months in American and French barrels gives the ageing notes of a great Douro wine with a modern and international profile. In the mouth, it is sweet and enveloping, with very soft noble tannins, long and warm finish.

Rui Roboredo Madeira Douro wines are produced at the winery located in São João da Pesqueira, where it all began in 1999. The first wine launched was with the brand Castello D'Alba, which is still marketed today.

In one of the most remote areas of the Iberian Peninsula, in the border area between Douro Superior and Beira Alta, it was in the family that Rui Roboredo Madeira's passion for the aromas and smells of the land that mould his character was born. After years of experience and living in other parts of the world, Rui brings back to his origins what he has learned, starting his wine production project, always with maximum respect for nature.
