2018 Le Mortelle Botrosecco Maremma red
Red wine produced from the Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc grape varieties, it proves to be intriguing, yet decisive, with an exceptional balance that the terroir of Maremma has accustomed us to.
The Antinori family has been dedicated to wine production for over six hundred years. Since then, in 1385, Giovanni di Piero Antinori became a member of the Arte Fiorentina dei Vinattieri. Throughout its long history, spanning 26 generations, the family has always managed this activity directly, making innovative and sometimes brave choices, but always maintaining an unchanged respect for tradition and territory.
Fattoria Le Mortelle is located in the heart of Maremma, Tuscany, a few kilometres from Castiglione della Pescaia, in an extraordinary and fascinating position both for nature and for the history of the surrounding places. Since 1999 the family has been working both in the vineyards and in the new winery with the conviction that the area, still emerging on the Italian wine scene, is highly suitable for the production of quality wines and that here the characteristics of the terroir and the grape varieties grown can be expressed at their best. The estate covers 270 hectares, 170 of which are vineyards.
