概要
This wine is the result of a blend of traditional Serra de São Mamede grape varieties from old vines planted at an altitude of 700 metres. It aged for 8 months in used French oak barrels brought from Burgundy, with the aim of preserving the identity of the vineyard. The nose is intense, complex and very mineral, with a predominance of citrus notes. The palate is deep, full-bodied and has a distinctive elegance provided by the amphorae.
Susana Esteban is one of the Portuguese winemakers to follow. In 2012 she was awarded the most prestigious prize a winemaker can receive in Portugal, the title of "Winemaker of the Year", by Revista de Vinhos magazine, has been to date the only woman to have been awarded this distinction.
