Bodegas Mauro was founded in 1980 by Mariano García as a way of honouring his father. The wines produced by Bodegas Mauro are characterised by being balanced, elegant and sensual, with a great aptitude for ageing. They are also known for expressing the characteristics of the grape varieties used and the terroir where they are located, mirroring the winemaker's vision.

Bodegas Mauro was the García family's first winery in Valle del Duero, followed by San Román Bodegas y Viñedos in 1997 in the Toro Denomination of Origin, and completed with Garmón Continental, an exclusive project in Ribera del Duero, which began in 2014. The three properties approach the style of viticulture based on respect for the singularities of each territory, which constitute a particular winemaking philosophy.
