2020 Quinta Seara d'Ordens Vinhas Velhas Reserva red

The Quinta Seara d'Ordens Vinhas Velhas Reserva red is crafted from the noble Portuguese varieties Touriga Nacional, Touriga Franca and Tinta Roriz, shaped by the character of the soil and the microclimate that define its identity. It reveals a distinctive, deep and authentic profile, capturing the true essence of the Douro’s old vines.

Unfiltered and not cold-stabilised, it retains its full purity and structure, and may therefore develop sediment, so it is recommended to pour with care.

The Quinta Seara d'Ordens is a historic property dating back to the 18th century, located in a rural area near the village of Poiares, in the north of Portugal. The property originally belonged to the Leite family, who acquired a large tract of land and invested in its agricultural exploitation. The Leite family planted vineyards, olive trees and almond trees on the land, producing high-quality wine, olive oil and dried fruit.

Currently, this estate, with a century-old winemaking tradition, has 60 hectares situated in a privileged location in the heart of the Douro, at an average altitude on a south-west facing slope, which provides excellent conditions for the production of the highest quality grapes.
