概要

Crasto Altitude 430 is the result of the research into the potential of the Douro's wide range of native grape varieties that have been carried out by the viticulture and oenology teams at Quinta do Crasto.

Produced with the Tinta Francisca and Touriga Nacional grape varieties, this is a low alcohol red wine, typical of grapes grown at altitude (430 metres), fresh and elegant. It has a deep colour, and clean aromas that recall red fruits and fine spices. In the mouth it is enveloping and seductive.

Located on the right bank of the Douro River, between Régua and Pinhão, Quinta do Crasto is a property of about 130 hectares, 70 of which are occupied by vineyards. Also part of the company's estate is Quinta do Querindelo, with 10 hectares of Vinha Velha, and Quinta da Cabreira, in the Upper Douro, with 114 hectares of vines.

With a privileged location in the Douro Demarcated Region, Quinta do Crasto has been owned by the family of Leonor and Jorge Roquette for over a century. As is usually the case with the great Quintas of the Douro, the origin of Quinta do Crasto dates back to distant times - the name Crasto derives from the Latin "castrum", meaning Roman fort.
