From the heart of Vila de Frades, close to the majestic ruins of São Cucufate, comes the Talha de Frades Millennial white wine. Carefully crafted from a young vineyard, with roots that delve into the history of the region's centuries-old vineyards, the producer endeavours to preserve the authentic local grape varieties.

With only 5 years, the Arinto, Antão Vaz, Larião, Manteúdo, Perrum and Roupeiro grape varieties produce a young and balanced wine. The vibrant acidity, combined with the captivating freshness, harmoniously combines with the fruity essence that reveals itself on the palate.

Wine from talha is an ancestral winemaking tradition that dates back to Roman times and is characterised by the method of production in large clay amphorae, known as Talhas. This process involves fermenting and maturing the wine inside these clay containers, giving it its unique characteristics. Talhas allow the wine to gradually interact with oxygen, contributing to its evolution and complexity. This method preserves cultural traditions and regional characteristics, resulting in distinctive wines, often associated with regions like Portugal, where the practice persists, representing a link between history and modernity in wine production.
