The Inóspito Xisto Vinhas Velhas white comes from a century-old vineyard, planted in 1915, located next to the Tua River where it enters the Douro Demarcated Region. With schistous soils and a northeast exposure at 300 metres above sea level, this vineyard of more than 35 varieties, with a particular emphasis on the various Malvasias, results in a unique and expressive wine. The spontaneous fermentation, with indigenous yeasts, takes place in new and used French oak barrels from the Bertrange forest, with ageing on total lees for 10 months. It stands out for its texture, aromatic character, and freshness, being a true expression of the Douro's terroir.

Geographic Wines is a project by Daniela Matias and Nuno Morais Vaz, aiming to create wines that showcase the authentic characteristics of the grape varieties and the terroirs from which they originate.
