2023 Retortinha Colheita Selecionada red

Retortinha Colheita Selecionada red is crafted from Alicante Bouschet, Alfrocheiro and Castelão grapes grown at Herdade da Retortinha in the northern Alentejo. During vinification, the wine undergoes délestage to enhance colour and tannin extraction, followed by post-fermentation maceration and malolactic fermentation, resulting in greater structure, balance and ageing potential.

The nose reveals aromas of black fruit, blackberry and raspberry, elegantly complemented by delicate balsamic notes. On the palate, it offers firm tannins, vibrant structure and a fine balance between intensity and freshness.

The finish is long, elegant and persistent, with balsamic nuances and ripe fruit lingering gracefully, reflecting the distinctive character and authenticity of this Colheita Selecionada.
