Titan of Douro Fragmentado Blend II red

Titan of Douro Fragmentado Blend II red is a wine from century-old vineyards located between 750 and 850 metres of altitude, on schist-granitic soils. After manual selection, destemming, and foot treading in a stone lagares, it ages for 32 months in French oak barrels.

It presents a deep colour with brickish tones and a complex aroma of black fruit, chocolate, liquorice, rockrose, and smoke. On the palate, it is full-bodied, fresh, and with a striking persistence.

This wine is composed of a blend of different harvest years, namely 80% from the 2015, 2016, and 2017 vintages, and 20% from the 2018 vintage.

Luís Leocádio is a winemaker from Douro who is passionate about the authenticity of Portuguese wine. With an approach that combines tradition and innovation, he created the Titan brand, an expression of his personal vision of the Douro, Távora-Varosa and Beira Interior regions. Produced from old vines at altitude and with minimal intervention, Titan wines reflect freshness, elegance and identity, revealing the unique character of the indigenous grape varieties and the terroir that produces them.
