2021 The Standish The Shubert Theorem Shiraz Marananga Barossa Valley red
概要
The Standish The Shubert Theorem Shiraz is a red wine from Marananga in the Barossa Valley, made from old Shiraz vines. Dan Standish’s approach combines traditional techniques with the distinctive expression of Barossa terroir, seeking to preserve the purity and intensity of the fruit.
Vinification and maturation take place in a combination of concrete eggs and French oak, helping to refine the wine’s structure without overshadowing the character of the fruit. The nose is dominated by luscious cassis, blackberry and dark cherry, complemented by notes of baking spice, sweet liquorice and woodsmoke.
On the palate, it is full-bodied and robust, with firm tannins and impressive concentration. The finish is long and persistent, marked by ripe dark berries with notes of dark chocolate and ground coffee.
