From the soil of a vineyard with approximately two decades of history, red wine Talha de Frades 1x1 is the result of a mistake that turned out to be brilliant. Instead of the traditional 2/3 Aragonês and 1/3 Trincadeira in the harvest, daring prevailed and 50% of each variety was picked, giving rise to this unique wine, the 1x1.

The characteristic intensity of the Aragonês finds its balance in the striking softness and rebellious elegance of the Trincadeira. This wine, a savoury testimony of a mistake turned into a success, reveals a unique personality.

Wine from talha is an ancestral winemaking tradition that dates back to Roman times and is characterised by the method of production in large clay amphorae, known as Talhas. This process involves fermenting and maturing the wine inside these clay containers, giving it its unique characteristics. Talhas allow the wine to gradually interact with oxygen, contributing to its evolution and complexity.
