The Herdade dos Lagos HDL organic red wine presents a deep purple-red colour, with aromas reminiscent of black plum, blackberries, cherry blossom, and violet. On the palate, it reveals a spicy character with silky and dry tannins, showcasing its ageing potential. The perfect balance between the tannins and gentle acidity provides a refined experience. Succulent and elegant notes of dark chocolate and dried tobacco leaves emerge on the finish.

Located in Vale de Açor de Cima and Vale de Camelos, Mértola, the Herdade dos Lagos spans 1000 hectares of pure nature. Committed to sustainability, the current owners have embraced fully organic practices, using only approved products for organic farming, aiming to minimize chemical usage and preserve the soil, water, and ecosystems.

In this way, they harness the ideal conditions of the Alentejo region, with its untouched vast areas, to produce wines with a natural character and other products that allow one to fully savour the existing terroir.
