Description

Altitude wine, light and fresh with vibrant acidity, mineral with citrus grapefruit notes. The soul of this wine lies in the unique combination of grapes of the Síria and Fonte Cal varieties, from vineyards planted on granite and schist soils with quartz veins, in the catchment area of the Douro River at an average altitude of 700 metres.

In 2011, Rui Reboredo Madeira returns to the same winery where he made his first vintage in 1987. Located in the small village of Vermiosa, in Figueira de Castelo Rodrigo, among the highest vineyards in Portugal, his wines from Beira Interior are vinified and aged.

Then the Beyra wine brand is born, marked by excellence and the pioneering concept of "Altitude Wines".

In one of the most remote areas of the Iberian Peninsula, in the border area between Douro Superior and Beira Alta, it was in the family that Rui Roboredo Madeira's passion for the aromas and smells of the land that mould his character was born. After years of experience and living in other parts of the world, Rui brings back to his origins what he has learned, starting his wine production project, always with maximum respect for nature.
