Description

This Villa Oliveira from Casa da Passarella is made from Encruzado grapes from a vineyard over 40 years old. It was fermented in tanneries and then aged for 9 months in oak barrels. Citrus in colour, it has an aroma of white fruits and lychee. On the palate, it is full-bodied, fresh and elegant, with a long finish.

This is a producer that has risen from the ashes. It has come to stay and write a new story, but the history of this house is ancient, dating back to the 19th century when it was built. Great wines were born from this house and these vineyards. Who doesn't remember the P63, vinified at the time by José Maria da Fonseca. As fate would have it, it was "abandoned" to the world of wine, leaving only a faint memory of the great wines that were born there. Fate also decided that the new owner would be a man of good taste, with an extreme dedication to doing things well. The new Casa da Passarella was born to write a new chapter in the history of this house and the Dão region. The wines are excellent and are made with rigour and a great desire to do the best.
