Description

Herdade do Arrepiado Velho, in Sousel, Alto Alentejo, was reborn in 2001 after years of abandonment. The 19th-century Alentejo hill was reconstructed with traditional architecture, offering spaces of rare beauty. With 100 hectares, it stands out with a reservoir amidst vineyards and olive groves, providing a unique tranquility of Alentejo.

In 2002, 33 hectares of vineyards were planted in an exceptional terroir with schist soils and mild temperatures. The "Vinha dos 100 pontos," created by David Both and António Maçanita, combines knowledge and innovation, resulting in distinctive wines. With Nuno Ramalho as the current viticulturist, the grape varieties include Touriga Nacional, Syrah, Petit Verdot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Antão Vaz, Chardonnay, Riesling, Viognier, and Verdelho.

Under the command of António Antunes, the wines are unique and seductive, combining modern winemaking with tradition. Marta Neto, responsible for marketing and design, together with António, break barriers and create wines beyond conventions, always pursuing unparalleled quality.
