Description

Monte Branco red is a blend of Alicante Bouschet, Aragonez and Trincadeira, emblematic grape varieties of the Alentejo. The grapes are hand-harvested, with total destemming and a three-day cold pre-fermentation maceration, allowing for a careful extraction prior to fermentation.

Fermentation takes place in traditional lagares, followed by one year of ageing in 300-litre French oak barrels, the majority of which are new. A red wine crafted with rigour and precision, where structure and concentration are balanced by the careful integration of oak.

Founded in 2004, Adega do Monte Branco is dedicated to the production of authentic wines from Portuguese grape varieties, with a deep respect for Nature. Located in Estremoz at around 400 metres of altitude, the estate benefits from a unique microclimate shaped by diverse soils and moderate temperatures. Its 26 hectares of vineyards form the foundation of balanced wines with character and a clear Alentejo identity.
