Quinta da Romeira has existed since 1703 and in the history of this charismatic manor house, which still stands here with its Manueline windows, the Duke of Wellington once rested and relatives of the famous Marquis of Pombal are mentioned, famous for supporting the vine and encouraging exports.

Today the Quinta has 130 hectares, 75 of which are planted with vines, mostly Arinto and this is the largest area of this variety in the country. In addition to the vineyard area, Quinta da Romeira has 50 hectares devoted to forestry in addition to the manor house and its gardens.

Sogrape Vinhos was founded in 1942 by Fernando van Zeller Guedes, with the ambition of making Portuguese wines known to the world and a long-term vision based on the quality of the wines to be marketed, the importance of the novelty of the brands, and the presentation of its wines.
