The Vinyle 2021 is made with grapes from a century-old vineyard located in the Serra de São Mamede. It was vinified and aged in two 500 litre barrels previously used to vinify the Sidecar 2020 with the renowned champagne producer Emmanuel Lassaigne who previously used them to vinify the base wine of one of his best champagnes. The name Vinyle is a tribute to Emmanuel's great passion: music and vinyl records.
Subtle and delicate nose is the result of the combination between the aroma of the Sierra vineyards and the barrels matured with the Champagne base wines, which gives it a unique complexity that is transmitted in the mouth.
Susana Esteban is one of the Portuguese winemakers to follow. In 2012 she was awarded the most prestigious prize a winemaker can receive in Portugal, the title of "Winemaker of the Year", by Revista de Vinhos magazine, has been to date the only woman to have been awarded this distinction.
