2023 Adega do Fundão Alpedrinha white
Description
Alpedrinha white is produced from the Síria, Arinto and Fonte Cal grape varieties, and after ageing for less than 5 months in oak barrels from the Caucasus, it is citrus yellow in colour, with a tropical aroma and slight hints of vanilla. On the palate it's fresh, full and mineral.
The Adega do Fundão was founded in 1949 by 30 winegrowers from the Beira Interior region and is located in Cova da Beira, an area of vineyards dating back to the 2nd century and the Roman settlements of that time.
The vineyards are planted along the Serra da Gardunha, which allows for the production of grapes that give the wines a richness, freshness and exuberance that is unrivalled.
