Description

At the cellar of Monte dos Perdigões, art blends with the science of wine, always with the unique touch of noble materials. Handpicked grapes ferment in French oak barrels and in Alentejo marble tanks, famous for their high thermal inertia. With their short and wide geometry — and the help of mechanical pressure and crushing equipment — they increase the extraction of tannins while allowing a notable aromatic expression. The maturation of the reds occurs sur lies in Allier French oak tuns of fine grain and medium toast. After an adequate aging stage in half-barrels, they’re carefully bottled — always using national cork — waiting for the moment they’ll be opened and enjoyed by the most demanding wine enthusiasts.
