Description

Underberg is a digestive bitter produced in Germany by Underberg AG, made from aromatic herbs originating in 43 different countries. The exact number and identity of these herbs remains a closely guarded secret. Production is based on a secret recipe, guarded by the Underberg family since the company was founded by Hubert Underberg-Albrecht in 1846. The herbs are distilled using a secret process and matured for many months in Slavonian oak barrels.

Often used as a digestive aid after a good meal, its blend of alcohol and high-quality herbs gives it its scientifically proven digestive properties. Underberg is completely natural, with no colourings or additives, but it is not a herbal liqueur as it has no added sugar.
