Description

Fonseca is part of the first category of wine producers in the Vintage Port since the middle of the 19th century. The Fonseca Vintage Port wines are known for their exuberant fruity that develops great opulence and complexity with age. Their wines appeal to the enthusiast and connoisseur, perhaps more than the Vintage Ports of any other house because they are an inspired production and a deep knowledge of viticulture and terroir. Dark red, with a ruby aureole. Dense blackcurrant, very fresh and elegant, with an incredible balance of delicate fruit and showing the first signs of bottle maturity. In the mouth, it is very full-bodied, with immense quality tannins that carry an enormity of fresh blackcurrant type fruit. The youth he maintains to this day is proof of how extraordinary this Vintage is, beyond its ability to continue to age for the rest of the century.
