概要

Quinta dos Poços Reserva red wine is obtained by the traditional Douro grape varieties and vinified in granite presses with foot treading. After fermentation, it ages for about 12 months in French oak barrels. It has fine aromas with hints of ripe fruit and a subtle touch of coffee and toast. Complex, with depth and good tannic structure, it finishes long and elegant.

Quinta dos Poços is located in the World Heritage area of the Douro Demarcated Region, in the sub-region Baixo Corgo, in the village of Valdigem, Municipality of Lamego. It is one of the oldest States in the region, and the main house is a typical rural manor house from the 18th century. The French troops of Brigadier General Loison, the "one-armed man", stayed here during the first Napoleonic invasion in 1808.

The State now belongs to the family of Professor José Manuel da Costa Mesquita Guimarães and its total area is 25 hectares, dedicated to viticulture with the region's traditional grapes varieties.
