Márcio Lopes was born in Porto, in 1983, and his taste for rurality grew in the company of his grandparents, who always worked in agriculture. After graduating in Agronomic Engineering, which ended in 2006, he started working with Anselmo Mendes in 2005, in Melgaço. Then in 2008 he was in Australia, where he made two harvests, in Rutherglen and on the Island of Tasmania. In 2010, he started with two personal projects, Pequenos Rebentos and Proibido. In 2017, he embraced a new project in Ribeira Sacra, Spain.
