2023 Max Ferd. Richter Graacher Himmelreich Riesling Auslese white
概要
The Max Ferd. Richter Graacher Himmelreich Riesling Auslese is a wine of great sophistication, originating from the vineyards located in the prestigious Graacher Himmelreich, in the heart of the Mosel region. The grapes, carefully hand-harvested at the optimal ripeness, are meticulously vinified, with the must fermented at controlled temperatures in traditional old oak barrels, using indigenous yeasts to preserve the authenticity of the terroir.
This Riesling Auslese presents subtle botrytised notes, imparting a unique complexity. The residual sugar gives it a creamy and delicate smoothness, while the aromatic profile is rich and elegant, highlighting currant, cassis, pear, melon, and aromatic herbs. The balance between sweetness and acidity creates a refreshing sensation, with a long and harmonious finish, ideal for ageing and developing over time.
After the first documented purchase of a vineyard parcel in Brauneberg on April 17th, 1643, the company was officially founded in 1680, establishing a winemaking legacy with over 300 years of history. Since then, the family has adhered to the motto: "Great wines are made in the vineyard, not in the cellar." In 1774, an elegant manor house was built, and in 1880, the modern winery was established, housing one of the largest collections of wooden casks in the Mosel region. Today, the company is in its 9th generation, with Constantin MF Richter, from the 10th generation, actively involved in the business since 2012.
