概要

Sparkling wine is produced from two controlled alcoholic fermentation processes in a closed container. In the first fermentation, called alcoholic, the grape's natural sugar is transformed into alcohol. This is a stage common to all types of wine.

In the second fermentation, a wine-based tirage liqueur, made up of sugar and yeasts, is added. The yeasts ferment the sugar, producing carbon dioxide, which remains in the wine.

There are two main methods of producing sparkling wine: the traditional method and the Charmat method. Regardless of the method used, sparkling wine is a delicious and refreshing drink that can be enjoyed on a variety of occasions.

The Quinta da Lameira is an Agricultural Society located in Souselo, in the Vinho Verde Wine Region.

The Vinho Verde Region, in the northwest of Portugal, is known for its fresh and light white wines, produced with typical grape varieties such as Alvarinho, Loureiro, Avesso, and Trajadura. The grapes are grown in fertile soils, bathed in a cool climate, responsible for giving the wines their unique characteristics.
