The Zacapa Rum was first created in 1976 to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the founding of Zacapa, a town in Guatemala, located approximately 112 kilometres from Guatemala City, where this Rum is produced. It is made from the first pressing of virgin sugar cane, aged using the Sistema Solera method and then selected and blended by Master Blender Lorena Vásquez.
