Tau white is a limited-production Vinho Verde made from a blend of Loureiro, Alvarinho, Fernão Pires and Trajadura, sourced from vineyards near the Atlantic in Esposende. The proximity to the sea gives the wine freshness and a distinctive mineral character.
Fermentation takes place partly in stainless steel and partly in used oak barrels with indigenous yeasts, followed by extended ageing on fine lees to enhance texture and complexity.
The nose shows citrus and saline notes, with a fresh and precise profile. On the palate, it is intense, with good acidity and a persistent, mineral-driven finish.
